PTAC Replacement by a Licensed Electrical Contractor

PTAC units are the through-wall heating and cooling units found in many New York apartments, offices, and commercial spaces. When one stops working or gets too old, Electric A/C Inc replaces it. Why the Electric Matters on a PTAC Swap

A new PTAC unit has to match the circuit it plugs into. Voltage, amperage, and receptacle type all need to line up. Swapping a unit without checking can mean tripped breakers or a unit that won’t run. We check the circuit, receptacle, and breaker before the new unit goes in, and fix what needs fixing.

Older buildings sometimes have circuits or receptacles that don’t match newer units. When that happens, we tell you what needs to change and handle the electrical work ourselves.
